HOPE IN THE MIDST OF UNCERTAINTY

COVID-19 has us all on overload with information and uncertainty. IT CAN BE OVERWHELMING.

During this time of an overload of information and plentiful opinions, I want to encourage us all to turn our attention to the only opinion that matters: The Lord's opinion and what He says in His Word.

It's time to get deeply and personally rooted in the Word of God- not just for the sake of more knowledge - but to know the heart of Jesus.

Beyond this current pandemic, we have to see our lives in the context of a greater narrative and an everlasting hope. Times of trouble are certain. Times of victory are certain. We can't be disillusioned to thinking either happens exclusively.

Really, our lives of belief and faith only truly make sense in the context of difficulty. It is because we have a certain hope (Ephesians 1:18) that we can "endure to the end" (Matthew 24:13) --- but not just barely making it --- actually running the race with JOY and STRENGTH even in the midst of suffering, difficulty, and trial (James 1) until the Day of the Lord - the Day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

Rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of [the appearing of] Christ Jesus. (1 Peter 1:13)

Show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish but imitate those who throughFAITH and PATIENCE inherit the promises. (Hebrews 6:11)

More troubles will come --- both in the globe and in our personal lives. Satan will continue to rage and make war against the saints. (Daniel 7:21, Revelation 13:7) Creation will continue to groan and quake. (Romans 8:22) The sinfulness of mankind will grow to a full measure (Revelation 18). And the Lord will refine and purify His people. So don't be surprised or think it's strange.

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoiceto the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when Hisglory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. (1 Peter 4:12 - 13)

But we will have victory if we are in Christ. We know He is coming and that we will receive the promise and receive the crown of eternal life.

You have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: For yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry...we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:36-39)

We eagerly wait for it and ache for that which we cannot yet see.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us...creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoptionthe redemption of our body. For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. (Romans 8)

Our work with OneEleven Global continues on. Working on projects from home, having online team meetings, and online prayer gatherings are all possible. Prayer and worship is one of the most important things to be doing during this time. Especially during this time, many are looking to OneEleven for help and insight. Our team is looking forward to the possibilities to engage more people with this good news of the gospel through the power of technology and online capabilities.

Our reach to see all the nations engaged with the Gospel of the Kingdom and to see people sing to Jesus in every place does not pause.

Just in the past several days, during our online prayer meetings we had people from many different nations and timezones involved. Though we are far apart physically, I think the Lord is orchestrating something to move His mission and His purpose forward.

Let's all remember it's not about us. It's not about our lives. It is all about One Man who is WORTHY.

For by him all things were created...all things were created through him and for him...And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together...And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. (Colossians 1)

It is ultimately all about His desires and His will coming to pass:

"LET YOUR KINGDOM COME AND LET YOUR WILL BE DONE". (Matthew 6)

MAY JESUS HAVE HIS INHERITANCE IN THE NATIONS AND HAVE THE ENDS OF THE EARTH AS HIS POSSESSION (Psalm 2:8)
