SINGING AT CHRISTMAS & THE SON OF DAVID

Years ago a Savior for the earth was born in the city of David. The angels sang “glory to God and peace on earth.”

Though we can now have peace in our hearts, we still wait for there to be peace on the earth. Nation presently rises against nation, but the Son of David’s government of peace will have no end.

You see, Jesus wasn’t born just to die.

The baby born in Bethlehem those thousands of years ago was destined to rule the earth forever.

This little Middle Eastern baby would become a King who would rebuild the fallen tabernacle of His fellow Bethlehemite and father David, bringing a new worship order—a new song—to all the nations.

Jesus’ kingdom will have no end. He will rule on the throne of David out of Zion forever and all the kings of the earth will sing to Him.

The angels sang at Jesus’ first coming. All creation will sing at His second coming.

The zeal of the Lord will accomplish this.

Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! For You shall judge the people righteously and govern the nations on earth.

Let all the peoples praise You...all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
(Psalm 67:4-7)
